If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, what would that mean to a blind person? It is quite unfortunate that beauty is exploited to the point that it's become ugly.
Shakespeare wrote many lines saying that beauty will fade, but his verses will not. Well... yes, Shakespeare, you're absolutely right, but the idea of beauty never seems to disappear. We are constantly attracted to the beautiful.
If we can pause for a moment and think about what the definition of beauty actually is, we can see that beauty is relative. Therefore, can't it exist everywhere? Whatever the case, there's no need to search the whole world for true beauty. True beauty rests in realizing that beauty is everywhere and that it begins within one's self. Like with other concepts such as love or peace, finding beauty elsewhere can't happen if it doesn't begin by finding beauty within.
By way of this thinking, we should acknowledge that life is beauty itself. There should be no standard for beauty, because no universal standard can exist. After all, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right? Find beauty in everyday life by realizing that it exists everywhere in the world. Make the distinction between inner and outer beauty, and that the inner beauty is the one that, like Shakespeare's verses, never really disappears.
